The only two honest contenders for the last Presidential election were Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich, although I guess I should throw good old Nader in there too. All 3 were discussing important issues facing the country that were avoided, misconstrued, or outright lied about by the mainstream media and the other candidates.

Now that the Supremes have decided corps can spend any amount they want on political campaigns, these guys'll get no coverage. Oh well. Gore said it right in his book-the marketplace of ideas (and discussion, exchange) that existed for a few hundred years in this country (the USA_)has now become who can scream at you the loudest from your tv, and who can offer you the easiest promises for "real change" without having any way to back them up.
